Department Chair in Biology

Responsibilities: Assumes responsibility for the administrative and academic functions of the department. Teaches at the undergraduate and/or the graduate levels. Leads the faculty in continued curricular development. Engages in and promotes active research. Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean of the College of Science and Technology.

Education: An earned doctorate in Biological Sciences or related areas is required. The successful applicant should be a tenured faculty at the level of Associate or Full Professor.

Work Experience: Successful candidates should have a distinguished record of successful program administration in an academic setting and a reputation for teaching, research, and intellectual leadership in their field.
